Just a few important things this time, so read on.

 

- The book study group will meet Wednesday the 10th at 7:00 PM at Ashby's.

 

- Have you driven by the Church property recently? Here is an account of the
events that unfolded last Sunday.  We certainly have some brave souls in our
congregation!  

".the sirens were blaring and the rain was all around us but there is more
greenery at the corner of Kyle and Lincoln than there was a week ago.
Thanks to the bravery of Paul and Gerry and the boldness of Gary and Pat and
the "surely they won't plant in this weather" Liz, the perennial Stella
D'Oro plants are in the ground.  Members, friends and neighbors gifted them
all.  That means they were uprooted from their familiar dirt, divided and
replanted at the corner of a farmer's field.  So being a patient people, we
will have to wait for them to settle in.  Hopefully, I'm told, we might
expect yellow flowers by June.  Then we should have flowers most of the
summer without any "attending" on our part.  They are self-sufficient and
they will come up year after year and multiply just as we plan to do! 

Note: There is a future planting anticipated once some garden phlox is
located.  It is a perennial and will bloom in late summer and fall.  I hope
to plant it directly under each sign.  Mulch will be added too..."

 

       - I am certain we all want to say "Thank You" to Paul, Gerry, Gary,
Pat, and Liz for their hard work.

 

       - Gerry reminded us last Sunday about "Salute to Scott" on June 10th.
We had a table last year and it was fun to meet new people, so mark your
calendars.
