[Friends] Mission Trip Op with First United

New Creation and anyone else who is interested is invited to join our
sisters and brothers from Belleville First United on the 2008 Adult Mission
Trip.

 

We will travel to Camp Courageous on Monday, June 2, and return to church on
Sunday, June 8.  You and your family and friends
can join our
adult mission trip tthis year,
and join the many who have fond memories and stories
of the good deads and close friendships that many of us enjoyOur large bus
will carry up to 22 passengers.  Others may drive if they wish.  

 

This camp is run by a non-for-profit 501 C 3 group, and provides wonderful
summer camp activities for children and adults with disabilities.

We will work at Camp Courageous, 12007 190th St., Monticello, Iowa, for five
days.  We will be fed at the camp, and we will live at the camp.  Our duties
will consist of such things as befriending the campers, maintaining grounds,
gardening, painting, carpentering, and cooking.

 

There will be no camp costs to our workers.  Your only out-of-pocket
expenses will be meals along the way, your car expenses if you drive
yourself (366 miles), camp snacks, and expenses incurred when we take a
short, afternoon side-trip during the week.  All of our adult church members
and friends are invited.
