In a recent discussion with some of my classmates, we talked about Vision
for congregations and what a vision is.

 

The brief definition we came up with is that the vision is a clear,
compelling picture of what the future ministry of the particular community
can be and must be; it paints a picture of our future and where we think God
desires us to be in the years to come.

 

NCPC has a vision statement - "Enriching our community through vibrant,
Christ-centered relationships . . . one life at a time."

 

As you think and pray this statement, what do you see?

 

What does our congregation look like if we have fulfilled this vision? What
does our community look like?

 

What do we need to make the vision real?

 

In what ways is the vision inviting us to participate in God's mission in
the world?

 

 

Whatever thoughts you have, send them on to me, please.
