Subject: [Members] Salute to Scott--Bottled Water Distribution
Friends,
As announced last Sunday, this coming Saturday (9 June) is O'Fallon's annual
Salute to Scott event in Community Park. We will again distribute iced
bottled water to event goers. In years past we have handed out hundreds of
bottles with a copy of the Gospel of John banded to them. We need help
again this year to procure supplies and serve water.
We have the opportunity to set up our stand outside the main pavilion near
the kitchens in the park. The O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce was going to
provide some water, but gladly allowed us to take this over. (No
competition for thirsty event goers!)
We need:
A canopy or tent (10' x 10' or larger)-
Tubs (or ice chests) to ice down the bottles-
Tables-New Creation will provide (currently located in Voellger's basement)
Chairs-New Creation will provide (currently located in Coleman's basement)
Bottled Water-Gerry Franklin will secure
Ice (wholesale supply would be cheaper than retail)-
Copies of John's Gospel and Rubber bands-NCPC to provide (church office)
Music (CDs and player)-
Laptop and Projector (to play slideshow of elements of the Presbyterian seal
. AND pictures of NCPC in action)-
PowerPoint slide show of NCPC in action (pictures from our various events,
perhaps)-
Projection screen/white board-NCPC to provide (church office, supply closet
at Cavins)
Extension cords and power strip-Jason Coleman will provide
Set up labor (0830 Saturday)-
Service labor (1045-1500, part- or full-time shift)-
Please "Reply All" to this with your availability to help and what
equipment/supplies you can bring.
Peace to you. -Jason
